Utah Here we come!!

We went to the beach today for the last time!
( I will post pictures later)
We are on a jet plane tomorrow!
A five hour flight!
I probably wont be able to post for a few days.
It depends on if I have access to a computer!
Lots to do today.
Last full day of being a Floridian.
Besides being sad about missing my friends here, I think I will be most sad about leaving the place I gave birth to my babies!
When we moved here 5 years ago, I never thought in a million years that I would give birth to twins.
It will be so nice to be around family.
They have only seen the twins once!
And they are almost 2.
So I am happy to go but sad at the same time!!
Bye Bye Florida!
I knew you when!!!!

Moving Day

The day finally came.
Moving Day.
Are we ready?
Hope so!
Trying to keep the kids away from the movers was a challenge. So they were either upstairs in a bedroom playing or in the backyard or in the van watching a movie.
We filled about half of the truck! When we moved out here we only filled about 1/4th!

What a day!! Who says you don't have to work when someone else is doing the hauling.?!
It's this... and then that.... and then there is paperwork missing (thanks to the driver that totally missed writing down about 100 items!!
And oh boy!
Having to deal with a driver that is half asleep all day!
The nightmare is finally over!
And who knows where our stuff is..... but, it hopefully will arrive in the right place!

A night to remember

Janette and I had our last girls night out on Thursday night. I am going to miss Janette so very much and I am so glad that we got to spend one great evening together before I go.

This is what I was doing while I was waiting for her to finish getting ready. These are her son's glasses. Aren't they cool? Perfect for the desert location I will be living in. So I stole them!! Shhhh... don't tell! Just kidding. I didn't steal them.....but I wanted to.

Our first stop. B. J's. It is a warehouse store like Costco or Sam's. Unfortunately it was not worthy of a picture. Our second stop. Lime. A great little Mexican bistro along a strip mall.

Got the picture mid sentence.

Tons of food. Yummy taco salad.

Our Third stop. My new favorite store. Love Culture.

I would never buy this hat. But, I would wear it in the store and take pictures in it!!

I am all about atmosphere. If I don't feel comfortable in the store...then I am outta there!! I love everything about this place. The layout. The chandeliers. The dressing rooms. Even right down to the wooden hangers they have their clothes on. I am pretty sure that they do not have one of these stores in Utah. I will have to check for sure. I would love it if they did.

Oops! Her dress fell down. The only boobies shown on my blog are that of a mannequin!

Isn't that an awesome chandelier? I will have one in my house someday!!......when I get a house.

Janette loved this dress.

See how pretty!!

After the wonderful hour and a half of uninterrupted shopping in our favorite store we went to get in Janette's van and came pretty close to being run down by some hoodlums in their muffler altered Honda civics. You know the kind I am talking about. The ones that drive everyone crazy and you can hear a block away because they are so loud!
Then we headed on over to Cold Stone (an ice cream shop) only to find out that it closes at 10 pm on Thursday nights and it was 10:20 when we got there. So we turn around to head back to the van and a big black rat runs right in front of us and into the bushes. Janette said..."What the heck was that?" We look a little closer and see baby rats running in and out of the bushes right in front of us!! AHHHH!! So we ran back to the van!
So we go to Walgreen's to get some water and plastic forks that my husband informed me we needed minutes after leaving B.J's. Only to find out that they closed at 10 too!
So of course all you have to do here in South Florida is drive over about 2 blocks and you will run into another Walgreen's. So we found a 24 hour one and was able to shop there. We had fun trying on all of the summer sandals that were 50 percent off! It only took 15 minutes to find some in my size =]
Then we ended our night with some Ice cream from Wendy's!!
It was a great way to spend some time with a great friend who I love dearly and I will miss more than anything else here.

a couple of awesome clients

It is hard to move when I have to leave people behind. I was able to do hair for a few more people before I got all packed up.

This is Elizabeth. She is from Brazil and gives the best Brazilian hugs!! I will miss her so much!

This is Stacey. I was happy to hear that she wanted to change her look. I love to do big transformations. So here she is as a Blondie.......
And here she is just 2 shades darker than her natural color. It turned out really nice. Everyone loves how natural she looks.
She is a very strong person. I was so lucky to get to know her. I will miss her a ton!

a quick update

Just a quick note before I head to bed.
It is midnight now!
The packers came today.
Can you believe they packed a 3 bedroom house with a garage in 6 hours!
Done!
Unbelievable!!
It would have taken me weeks.
They had 5 guys on the job!!
So we wait and live in a tower of boxes for 1 full day until the movers come on Friday morning.
Then we will be living only among our suit cases and borrowed air mattresses and linens until wed morning.
We still have our computer so I will be able to make updates.
The twins have another series of immunizations tomorrow!
Bad mommy for waiting until the last minute to get them all caught up!!
oh well, better late than never right?
Russ, Carter and I stayed up until 2am last night trying to get things ready for the packers.
It is amazing how much there was to do.
Now, we can relax a little and enjoy our last week in South Florida!!
Good night y'all.
I am spent!

1 week and 2 days left

So this last week was crazy. We know there is so much to get done before the packers come on Wednesday. But, it is so hard doing extra stuff when I don't have extra time. Trying to keep the home running smoothly while getting ready to move is almost an impossible task!
We sold our Mitsubishi Montero on Friday evening. So all day Friday I was looking for the title. I knew after spending hours going through every piece of paper in the whole house..that it was nowhere to be found. So Russ had to tell the guy that we couldn't find the title. Then when Russ got home from work, we started moving around some boxes in the garage that we thought were full of old memorabilia. We came across a box full of stuff that had never been filed. Including both of our titles to the montero and the van. Argh!! I was happy to see that we found it but I was so frustrated that I had spent hours of my day searching and searching for something that was right there....in a box.....in the garage! Anyway, we sold it really fast. Russ put a sign in the window and drove it to work and the next night it was sold to an exporter who was sending it to Honduras. Bye Bye Montero. They don't even make those anymore. We bought that 3 days after we arrived in Miami 5 years ago.

Last night we had a shin dig for Russ' co-workers. There were 21 people here.... a lot of food....and a lot of noise! It turned out well. The twins stayed up later than they ever have in their lives. So today should be a pleasantly ornery day!!

Day 3

Epcot Center

This is what we did to pass the time while the guys went on a ride!

It looks like Carter just pinched Emma right before the picture was taken!

Shopping for Souveniers

Jelly Belly central!!
*What kind of jelly belly's do you like?
We both like the cappuccino ones. I like the buttered popcorn...(a lot of people don't like that one) and Russ likes the Pear! Eww too sour! It's making my mouth water right now!
Carter and Mitchell
This is his 'I hate to shop face'
And this is him telling Kellie just how much he hates to shop!
And here he is telling Kellie that we are not saving money by getting a discount!!
Minnie Em

Italiano Superb!!

Our last Dinner was at a very nice Italian Restaurant in Italy.

Kellie and Blake
Carter Mr. Handsome!
More Mr. Handsomes, Russ and Jarom
That is like the best picture we have of Jarom, because he never sits still long enough to capture a smile! Check out his crinkly ear! We love it!
Ems doing her pose thing again!
Here's our cheezer. Allie cakes. She's saying CHEEZ!
Love my girls!
Carter's spaghetti and meatballs
Emma's chicken and veggies
Russell's something....and clams!? I think it's chicken!
If not, it probably tasted like chicken!!

And the tastiest, juiciest chicken and yummiest roasted potatoes I have ever had. YUM!!
Too bad I didn't take pics of the desserts! They were gorgeous! But we dug into them too fast!

Emma in Italy

This is all her! Trust me.
