These are my girl friends. Danielle on the left is my friend from all the way back in grade school. We grew up together! and me in the middle and My best girl Janette who saved my life with the twins and has been my sister away from home here in Florida! I have to say that the lighting in the library makes for a not so flattering picture.....really yellow!
I have no clue how to turn the picture or delete it so I can fix it! blogger class....blogger class!!!

These pictures were taken before they were old enough to go into the nursery and now that they are old enough....they dont want to go in. But, I make them because it is impossible to do my job with them hangin' out makin' a mess!

summer fun

You have to hit the pool in the morning here in south Florida during the summer. Because summer in Florida brings rain almost every day. It rains more here than in Seattle. I didn't know that when we moved here and I kept asking people why it was raining so much. We got there around 9:30 a.m. and were chased away around 11:30 due to big claps of thunder and some lightning. And since my husband has been struck by lightning, it kind of scares me, especially around water. This little girl with the dark hair is Eva. Their friend. I think my lens had a smudge on it. It is kind of cloudy by Eva's face.

The kids had fun. I didn't get any pictures of Carter or Emma this time. They had a blast in the big pool. The little baby pool didn't even entice the twins. They didn't really want to get in for a while. Which, I am thankful for. It was the easiest day I have ever had at the pool. Usually I am chasing them and pulling them out of the water. They will be 20 months old on the 28Th. I cant believe how big they are getting. It is going to get easier in a lot of ways and harder in a lot of ways as they get older. I guess it just always stays hard. You trade one thing for another right?

X~ x-rays or ultrasounds~ the only x-ray i have had is on my teeth. i had 3 million ultrasounds when i was pregnant with the twins. exaggeration.... but it felt like 3 million. 8)

Y~your favorite food~ i don't really have a favorite. it is easier to tell you what i don't like. i don't like sea food or left overs that have been in the fridge for more than 1 day. otherwise i eat just about anything.....except gummi worms =].....but i will eat them if i am desperate for junk.

Just a little trim.....

That's what I said, "Just a little trim" when Emma asked me to cut her hair. I just loved her long straight hair. Of course, I am living vicariously through her because my mom always kept my hair short as a kid. So I wanted my daughter to have long pretty hair. Not that short hair cant be pretty, long hair just seems more girly!

She begged me to cut it short like her friend Erin's hair. I couldn't. I just wouldn't. So instead of wishing she had long hair as a kid, like I did, she is going to wish she had short hair.

Where is the happy medium? (aren't we always searching for that?)

She was way too excited to get her hair cut so I decided to let her decide exactly how she wanted it.

It was very hard for me to let her be in control of her hair for that 15 minutes it took to cut it.

I even asked her if she wanted bangs.

Thank goodness she said no.

(I think she looks older with bangs and I want to keep her young for as long as I can.)

The result......a little longer than shoulder length.

The whole 'thumbs up' thing was all her. Followed by the phrase "rock on"
don't know!?! all her!!

It will be fun to style it at this length again. I'll tell ya one thing...washing it was a breeze!

A Hairdoo Do

It is always easier for me to do Emma's hair when it is wet right from the tub. I threw a little gel into it and did a kind of off-to-the-side pony flip in the front. (I like to do hairstyles that are not always symmetrical.)

Then, I did an upside down or inside out french braid. (Whatever it's called!) Starting from each side and meeting in the middle in the back. Then I tied the two sections together in a knot and then I secured it with a rubber band. By tying the hair together in a knot, it finishes the doo without showing exactly where you stopped the braids. Then I covered the rubber band with a flower on a clip.

It was a fun doo for a day of shopping with the girls!!
