My cuties

How old are you?

We turned 3!!

I made the twins their own cakes.
Jarom loves spiderman so he has a spiderman candle.
I bought Allie a Mickey Mouse candle but when we opened the package....Mickeys head was broken off!
So she got the number 3 candle instead.
Jarom blowing out his candles.

Allie blowing out hers.

Emma gave Allie some cute princess stuff she got at school as a prize.
That was very nice of Emma.
She also got a snow white dress up kit from her uncle Ben and aunt Jan.
And a new Baby doll that talks and a stroller from her Mom and Dad!

This was an awesome present from uncle Ben and aunt Jan.
Jarom LOVES baseball.
Perfect gift!! Thanks guys!

I traded someone some hair treatments for a Thomas the train set for Jarom.
Of course the bad part of that is that there are parts missing, but he loves it nonetheless.

I turned 34!!

I had my annual McEntire Fall party here this weekend.
It was a huge success...except I forgot one thing....to serve the pie!!
I just barely remembered about 2 minutes ago.
So sorry to the fam.
No pie.
But we will meet again on Saturday for my nieces Birthday and Baptism so I am sure we will celebrate with cake.
YUM!
This Wednesday is the twins 3rd birthday!
I cannot believe they are turning 3, they have grown up so much lately.
Maybe I will do a photo shoot of them tomorrow.
It is about time.
Thanks to my parents for coming up from St. George.
And thanks to my siblings for coming from the north.
We had a good time in the desert.
Ben, my brother and I went running together.
It was the first time ever.
I am proud to say that He kept up with me pretty well.
Ha!
I mean I kept up with him.
He is the runner in the family and I never thought I would ever be a "runner" but I am working on it.
We ran 2.1 miles.
Then he went out and ran another 3 miles without me.
He is awesome.
Next year hopefully we can run 6 miles together.
I feel so good when I run.
It keeps me mentally strong.
We had yummy soup the first night, and played games and stayed up really really late.
Then on Saturday after our run, we had a treasure hunt for the kids!
They had a good time.
Then we went to the park and ate Subway for lunch, then us moms went to the commissary for our fun shopping experience.
It took us an hour to get through because we shop and talk....about recipes and different products that we have tried and stuff like that.
More games and good food filled the night.
Then church today.
It's been a while since we went to church together.
Then unfortunately, it was time for everyone to leave.
I had a wonderful birthday!
Thanks for all the fun gifts and laughs!
Love you guys!!
I forgot to take pictures this weekend.
too much excitement...

We LOVE fall...

We drove up to settlement canyon in Tooele on Sunday.
I had never been there but was very happy to pay the two dollars to get in to see the most beautiful maple trees to take pictures with.
We will definitely go back to have a picnic or camp up there, it was very nice.
We set the camera on the tri-pod and set the timer.
It is almost as good as having a photog with us.!!
I am going to get the pictures printed and enlarged at Costco tomorrow.
Which family one do you like the best? 1,2 or 3?

#1

this pic captured jaroms attitude that day. he wasn't very happy.

#2

Russ likes #2 best, Jaroms face is funny.
He was singing the ABC's while the picture was being taken.

#3

I think I like #3 best but I keep going back and forth between this one and number #1

D R a M A!!!

So I was hired to paint the bank right?
Well, the only good thing I can say about it is.... that it is DONE!!
I really like the bank CEO who hired me.
She is really nice and sweet.
But,.......
I cannot not stand working with people who cannot make up their mind!!!!!!
UGH!!
It is so frustrating!!
Had I known it was going to be like that, I wouldn't have done it.
She had no problem having the walls painted 5 different colors.
I can't complain too much, because she painted them once.
I came in for my second 11 hour shift to find that she had painted over the paint I had spent hours on the previous 11 hour shift.
By the way,
We live an hour from town.
Which means, every time she wanted a different color, someone had to go to town.
So after I found out she re-painted my walls, went to town yesterday to get a different color glaze.
At least she took me to lunch, but I drove so I guess she owed me at least that.
But guess what??
We ended up using the stuff that I had originally bought and going back to the original idea.
I could scream!!!!
Just make up your dang mind and stick to it!!!!!!
How many people does it take to hang a dang picture?
3!!
.....arguing over an inch
just put it on the wall.....!
I could feel myself getting heated!
Then I had to talk myself down from my moment of frustration....
~~It's okay Rena, its not your house and you are getting paid.~~
But holy crap, it totally stressed me out.
I cried every time before I had to go there, because I hated every minute of it.
I felt like I was starting a new job and I didn't know a thing....because every time she asked my opinion, she countered that with her own, but then ultimately ended with my idea.
CRAZY!!
But it's over.
Thank Goodness!!!
By the way, it looks awesome!.....my idea!
I will take pictures next week.
I was too pissed to do it last night!

And the winner is....

Well, so much for doing this last Tuesday. I have been just a little busy....
So without further ado.
The winner is.... Kylee!!!
I made her a silver bracelet and one for her sweet Brynlee too but I cant find my camera at the moment, (I think I left it at my sisters house) so no picture but it turned out pretty cute.
So be on the look out for the bracelets coming to you soon Kylee!
Hope you enjoy them and thanks for reading my blog.
Now onto other news.
Russell won the club championship yesterday at the Dugway Golf Course!
He is so sweet and always splits the money with me.
When he came home and told me that he won, I said, "See I knew you should have gone pro!!" But its not too late. He can always play the senior tour. I am going to be his manager and get him going on bigger competitions. His four-some won the ochre hills tournament twice in a row over the last couple of months. He and his dad took first place in a previous tournament on memorial day that I had already mentioned. He's awesome and I am so proud of him!
I am getting ready for my annual McEntire Fall Party that we have here every year. It is a 3 day party! That is what has been keeping me busy. I have been busy in the salon also, and I just recently got hired to paint the bank here on post. It will take me about 3 days (hopefully) to get that done. It's a pretty big job. But I am excited for the extra cash for the holidays coming up.
The twins are still moving forward on the potty training and are doing pretty well. We have one more month before they get to go to pre-school. I am hoping I can get them fully day trained by then. Allie is night trained but I still send her to bed with a pull up on just in case. Jarom is not ready for night training yet.
I am so excited that the morning session of conference announced the new temples! I cried when I heard there was going to be a new temple in Ft. Lauderdale. It is a true miracle!! The saints there are so dedicated to the monthly bus trips up to the Orlando temple. They deserve a temple close to home. It warms my heart when I hear of new temples being built anywhere in the world, but I was over joyed about the Florida one.
If you have any fun ideas for a fall party, let me know. I would love to hear them!
Have a great weekend!!

Today is Bentley's 38th birthday.

He's an awesome marathon runner!
An inspiration.

And he has the nicest wife ever!
And 5 beautiful children.

No....I didn't steal these pictures off of his facebook.
And when I say No I mean Yes!
I guess that is why they are so small.
Happy Birthday to my brother Ben!
Have a great day!
Wish I could spend it with ya.
(You will get your present when you come to my birthday party!!)
note: post 199
Maybe I should do a give-away for my 200th post!

Saving money...

My cousin Susan made her own......
Some ladies in my ward made their own.....
Then I went to the store to buy more tide....
20 bucks for laundry detergent that would last me about a week and a half....
I couldn't do it.
So I decided to try what these other ladies did.
I went to maceys and bought the goods...
I made my own liquid laundry soap.!!
So easy.
Try it.
I know this will save us over 500 dollars a year.
Here is how to make it...
Enjoy!
Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap
4C. hot tap water
1 Fels-Naptha soap bar
1 C. Arm & Hammer All Natural Super Washing Soda
1/2 C. 20-mule Team Borax Natural Laundry Booster
Grate the bar of soap (like you would cheese) and add to your 4 cups of hot water in a a saucepan. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted. Fill a five-gallon bucket half full of VERY hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to the top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken. Once soap has cooled, add 10-15 drops of essential oil per two gallons, if desired. Use 1/2 cup per load for top loading washing machines; 1/4 cup for front loading or high efficiency.
Cleans great, is good for those with sensitive skin, and you can make five gallons for about $2.50.
Fabric Softener
Combine one part liquid fabric softener with two parts water. (I put mine in a plastic shoe box.) Cut a sponge in half and float the pieces in the solution. for each dryer load, squeeze out one of the sponges and toss into the dryer with laundry. After the load is dry, drop sponge back into the solution and squeeze out the other sponge for the next load.
It doesn't hurt to buy your favorite liquid fabric softener when you use it this way because it lasts for a very long time.

Flower Power

I went to a boutique the other day in Pleasant Grove called Karma Boutique.
They have super cute things.
They are pricey, but the items they sell aren't usually found anywhere else.
I just loved the necklaces they had but they were terribly expensive.
$130.00
So I made my own.

I sent two of them to my girlfriends daughters for their 16th birthday
Happy Sweet 16 Kaity and Cori!

Summers over

We did a lot of swimming this summer, I love these pictures of the twins.
They love the pool.
They say "Mom, go to the cool?"
(yes cool...not pool)
Allie loves to put on the life jacket and jump into the big pool, but Jarom is just content staying in the baby pool.
Until our last day at the pool we didn't have any issues.
Last Saturday, I took them to the pool for one last swim before school starts and Allie had a little ...okay BIG accident in the pool.
I was so embarrassed to have to tell the lifeguards that my vivacious 2 3/4 almost three year old pooped in the pool.
Yes, she had a swim diaper on but the life jacket she was wearing pulled the diaper to the side and hence the accident into the water.
They had to clear the pool which thankfully consisted of us and one other girl.
They bleached the stairs where she was sitting and fished out all the poop. Too much info?
They decided to close the pool so I guess it was a good thing for the employees who are less than enthusiastic about being there.
It was pretty early in the day.
Anywhoo,
Summer is over, I am so over taking pictures on the first day of school thing.
I don't know why,
but I just could care less this year.
Emma is in first grade, Carter is in 7th.
I am just glad that we are on a schedule again.
I get a little more time to myself now.
And my chores get done by 9 am so I can start on my projects.
I have a lot of them going on right now.
Taking the kiddos to the park now!

Ah the lazy days of summer.....NOT!

I always have to do one of these...it's-been-a-while posts just to say that I will post again soon!
The summer has been a little crazier than I thought it would be.
Baseball being a huge factor. But have no fear ( I am talking to myself) there is only one more game left and I secretly hope they lose so we don't have to do anymore trips to tooele for games! yahoo!!!
Who ever said summer days were lazy? I am still waiting for that part to happen.
I will post pictures and updates really soon,....I hope!

memorial day golf tournament

Russell and his dad were partners in the Dugway golf tournament.
They took first place!!!
They won 50 bucks, a huge trophy, a clock and a little trophy! ~(each)~
They ate tons of food and had a blast.
I am so proud of them!
i snuck out there after my run for a few snap shots.

there were moths out there the size of small birds.
they would fly right into their faces.
the golf cart that i stole to drive out there had a mouse that would run out and run around my feet.
ahhhh!
it was a cute little brown mouse.
it actually looked like someones pet.

memorial day 5 k

the family ran the 5 k...except russell, he was golfing at the time.
it was my first race. of course i didn't run the entire thing, i am still working up my endurance. i ran about 2 miles though, which i think is great for someone who HATES to run. (love you ben)

the kids got out of the stroller and ran for about a half a block. after dealing with them getting in and out of the stroller for the first mile, i gave them to carter and off i ran.
oranges, bananas, and cold water at the end was a great refresher. i think allie had about 4 oranges all to herself.

konea, annie, me and kalle.
we are all in the YW together.
konea is a major runner.
she took second place.
kalle is 5 months prego and did fabulous.
it was a very fun day full of activities.
we ended the day with a movie.
i took emma and a friend of hers to see hannah montana.
dugway has some great things for the family!
