weigh in wednesday

Down to 159 pounds.
How much loss is that?
I can't remember what I started at at the beginning of the year.
It is 9 pounds lost since we started the biggest loser here on Dugway.
I haven't really gone down any sizes yet.
Still a size 12 in pants.
I feel and see the loss in my face, boobs, waist and arms......oh and my baby toe!

she acted like she was going to puke again
I ran her to the sink
Yay! we made it!!
Russ comes home from work
Has to go back because his friend left his keys there
we ate dinner without him
twins were begging for food
I wouldn't let them have anything but water
Jarom steals food 8)
Russ got home 10 minutes to 7
Carter has 4~H at 7
I volunteer to take him...cause I want to get out of the house...can you blame me?
Allie begs to go, it's just a car ride so I take her (I thought she was done puking, because really how much can be in her belly? Have I said this before?)
We are a little early for 4~H
Carter says lets go to the gas station, I have money.
We meander in and I am holding Allie looking at the movies
Allie lets out a little cough
I freak out and cover her mouth and run out of the store
Thought for a second that I overreacted
but then She puked again....outside thank heavens!!
told Carter we would wait by the van
Of course you can't go to the gas station or anywhere here without seeing someone you know
Carter's Basketball coach was there
offered to help
nice offer
I said, if you want to deal with puke, be my guest!
There really wasn't any need to do anything
But it was nice of him to offer
dropped Carter off
went home
cleaned up dinner
got kids ready for bed
watched dancing with the stars
re-washed comforter because it still smelled like puke
put kids in bed (hoping they don't puke in the night)
went to bed at 9:30
Allie woke up at 10:15
She puked in her bed
changed sheets
cleaned her up
went back to bed and crashed
Jarom woke up at midnight
He didn't puke...thank goodness
he was just thirsty
woke up to happy kids today
hopefully today isn't as eventful!

My Saturday ended how?

We were supposed to go to the temple and our babysitters fell through.
So I looked at Russell with big eyes and said..."Let's go for a drive."
He said..."Really?"
( I am usually out of my comfort zone on long drives)
I wanted to see what was south of us.
I know it is desert but what is out there?
We headed down a dirt road and started to see some wildlife.

Then we came upon the pony express station just south of Dugway.
We got out and played around the cabin and stuff for a while.
A man came riding up on his green motor bike....He comes into play later!

The kids loved it. It was kinda muddy though.

So then we headed to Simpson Springs.
We saw some water bubbling up through the ground.
It was cool to see.
Then we decide to keep going and we saw a sign for Dugway Geode beds.
We pulled over and looked for geodes for a good hour or so.
The kids loved it and so did I.
It was so interesting.
We didn't find any, it had been super picked over.
We need to take a shovel next time we go.
We are REALLY in the middle of nowhere by now.
We decided to keep going to Fish Springs.
Not a whole lot to look at but there were people living out there.
So far from civilization.
By then we saw a sign that said Tooele 105 miles. Wendover 104 miles.
So we decided to keep going and hit the main road (we had been driving on dirt roads for 4 hours by now. So we were so excited to see paved road.)
We came upon a little town called Calleo.
I don't think you can really call it a town because there are no services.
Just a handful of houses. Where do these people go shopping? Seriously they are hours away from anything.
They had a tiny little school too.
So from there we drove on a dirt road for about an hour while we all had to pee really bad.
We were laughing so hard because the road was washboard and hilly at times and that did not help the situation!
When we got to the paved road about 45 miles outside of wendover we saw that man with the green motor bike on the side of the road.
We waved and he kind of waved us down and said he had a flat.
We couldn't let him ride in the truck because we had a full house.
So we threw his bike in the back of the truck and let him ride back there too. It was either that or he was spending the night in the desert.
Thank goodness he was dressed for the colder weather.

We made it to mini Vegas with very full bladders.
By now we were driving for 6 1/2 hours.
We were still having fun though.
We decided to eat dinner at a casino buffet.
So I checked out a couple of hotels.
The one that had the least amount of smoke was the one I chose.

All you can eat food is....Wow! for my boys.
I had a salad.....and some dessert.

So after we ate, We decided to give our kids a lesson in Not Gambling. We pulled all of our quarters together, I sent Russ out the door with the kids and I went hunting for a quarter slot.
I had 2 dollars and I was sure I would loose my money in 30 seconds.
A lesson on not wasting your time or money is about to transpire.
I finally found a quarter slot and could not find where to put the quarters in.
I felt really stupid.
So I ask the lady next to me if you can use coins in these slots.
She said no, just bills or a money card.
Money card?
I am out of the loop folks.
So I went clear across the casino to the cashier to get 2 dollar bills.
It is becoming a pain in the butt by this point.
I get back to the slots where my new friend is losing dollar after dollar since I have been gone. After she helps me put my dollar bills in the right way, it took me about 15 seconds to loose 2 dollars!
Yay, my lesson for my kids just got even better than the 30 seconds that I thought it would take. The lady probably thought I had never been in the city before.
After I lost my 2 bucks, I sat there for a few seconds not sure what I should do.
I kind of looked around and then got up and slowly walked away.
When I got outside, the stench of smoke followed me.
In fact the whole 5 minutes that I spent in the casino embedded the horrific smell into my jacket, my hair, my scarf and my lungs.
I had black lung the whole way home.
Yuck!
I was coughing up a lung.
I could never be a smoker.
I am glad I don't have friends that smoke either.
I wouldn't tolerate it.
It is a nasty thing to be addicted to.
I never thought when I woke up that Saturday morning that I would be sitting in a smoke filled casino trying to lose 2 dollars as fast as I could.
Impromptu Saturday.
Haven't had one of those in a while.

There's something about it.....

There is something about a crisp white snow when you know Spring is just around the corner.
We have the most beautiful trees in our neighborhood.

This tree is in my front yard. It's huge.

The wind blew so hard yesterday. So this is the result of the wind blowing while it was snowing.

These are our indoor activities....trying on our winter hats!
